Only Farmers LTD ("Only Farmers", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Only Farmers mobile application, website, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when people discover and book farm experiences, manage farm listings, use community and messaging features, or contact us for support.
This policy applies to visitors, customers, farmers, farm team members, and other people who use Only Farmers.
Information We Collect
Account and Contact Information
We collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, username, authentication details, account preferences, and communications preferences. Authentication may be provided through Clerk and supported sign-in providers such as Apple, Google, or Facebook.
Farm, Listing, and Profile Information
Farmers and farm teams may provide farm names, business details, farm addresses and locations, descriptions, photos, videos, certifications, availability, pricing, payout status, team member information, experience listings, private-hire details, job posts, equipment listings, and other content needed to operate a farm account.
Bookings, Purchases, Payments, and Payouts
We collect booking details, experience dates, guest counts, confirmation codes, cancellation and refund records, customer and farmer communications about a booking, purchase history, payment status, and payout status. Payment cards, bank account details, identity checks, and fraud-prevention information are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Location Information
With your permission, the app may collect precise or approximate device location to show nearby farms, maps, directions, and location-based search results. We also process farm addresses and coordinates provided by farmers or generated through geocoding services.
User Content and Communications
We collect content you create or upload, including community posts, herd posts, comments, likes, reposts, bookmarks, reports, reviews, ratings, photos, videos, audio or voice notes, files, chat messages, support requests, dispute information, and other content you submit through the service.
Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information
We may collect IP address, device type, operating system, app version, device or push-notification identifiers, feature interactions, logs, crash reports, performance data, and diagnostic information to operate, secure, monitor, and improve the service.
How We Use Information
- App functionality: to create accounts, show farm experiences, process bookings, manage trips, operate farmer tools, send messages, provide community features, and deliver support.
- Payments and compliance: to process payments and payouts, support Stripe Connect onboarding, handle refunds and disputes, prevent fraud, and satisfy tax, accounting, safety, and legal obligations.
- Personalisation: to show relevant farms, experiences, search results, saved items, notifications, and app preferences.
- Safety and moderation: to detect abuse, review reports, enforce our rules, protect users, and keep the platform reliable.
- Communications: to send booking updates, account notices, support replies, security alerts, product updates, and marketing where permitted by law and your preferences.
- Analytics and improvement: to understand app usage, fix bugs, monitor performance, and improve the product.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use personal information for third-party advertising tracking.
- With other users: public farm profiles, listings, posts, comments, reviews, ratings, and other public content may be visible to other users. Booking details are shared between the customer and the relevant farmer or farm team so the experience can be provided.
- With service providers: we use trusted providers for authentication, payments, messaging, push notifications, email, maps, hosting, storage, analytics, diagnostics, and security. These providers may include Clerk, Stripe, Stream, OneSignal, Sentry, Mapbox, cloud infrastructure providers, email providers, and related technical vendors.
- For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request, or where needed to protect users, Only Farmers, or the public.
- Business transfers: information may be disclosed or transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of all or part of our business.
Third-Party Services
Only Farmers relies on third-party services to operate core parts of the platform. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies where applicable.
- Clerk: authentication, account sessions, and social sign-in.
- Stripe: payment processing, Stripe Connect payouts, identity verification, fraud prevention, refunds, disputes, and tax-related payment records.
- Stream: chat and messaging features.
- OneSignal: push-notification delivery and notification preferences.
- Mapbox and geocoding providers: maps, farm discovery, and location-based features.
- Sentry and monitoring providers: crash reporting, diagnostics, security, and performance monitoring.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers: hosting, databases, file storage, media uploads, backups, and content delivery.
Your Choices
- You can update account and profile information in the app where those controls are available.
- You can control device permissions such as location, camera, photos, microphone, and notifications in your device settings.
- You can opt out of marketing communications by using unsubscribe links or contacting us.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal information, subject to legal limits.
- You can delete content or your account where the app provides those tools, or contact us for help.
Some information may need to be retained after deletion requests, for example payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute, or legal records.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Transaction, tax, accounting, payout, and dispute records may be retained for up to seven years or longer if required by law. Backups and logs are retained for limited periods consistent with security and operational needs.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and secure third-party infrastructure. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please use a strong account password and protect your device.
International Transfers
Only Farmers and our service providers may process information in the United Kingdom, United States, European Economic Area, and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Children
Only Farmers is not directed to children under 13. Certain booking, payment, farmer, and business features are intended for adults or for use with appropriate parental, guardian, or business authority. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate permission, please contact us.
UK and EU Privacy Rights
Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, by email, or by another appropriate method. The updated policy will show the latest effective date.
